To friends and supporters of Make It Right:
In a few years, you helped us grow from a couple of volunteers in a trailer to a national organization building green, affordable homes for people in need around the country.
Today I want you to meet a few families we were able to help because of your gift. Thank you – and happy holidays to you and yours.

Juan served in the US Army for 18 years.
Two years ago, he and his wife lost their housing and were sleeping in a train station in New Jersey.
|
Juan couldn’t find a place to live on the $847 he was earning each month from Social Security. “I had nowhere else to go,” says Juan. “Everywhere I went it was $800 a month for a little room.”
Today Juan and his family are living in Make It Right’s LEED Platinum apartment building for disabled veterans in Newark, New Jersey.
One third of homeless men and women in the United States are veterans. You can help.

Alexis and Steve are raising five young children in New Orleans.
She is a teacher and he serves in the Air Force.
|
Alexis and Steve dreamed of owning their first home and a yard for their children. This week – just in time for Christmas – they are closing on their new home in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward.
Make It Right builds homes for people in need – and for people who spend their lives serving our communities like teachers, veterans, police officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians.
You can help.

Gina is nine years old.
She lives in a one bedroom home with
11 family members.
|
On the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in Montana, more than half the population lives below the poverty line and 600 people are on a waiting list for housing.
Gina says she wants her mom to have a new kitchen where she can cook dinner while Gina does her homework.
Make It Right is working with the Fort Peck tribes to build homes for families in need. You can help.
