Make It Right partnered with HelpUSA in Newark, NJ to build a 56-unit multi-family building for disabled veterans.

Our goal in Newark was to build an ultra-green building for the same cost as a conventional structure. The apartment complex includes sustainable features like solar power and a rooftop garden where tenants grow fresh vegetables. In addition, computer rooms, a fitness center and community spaces serve veterans and the community at large.

We welcomed the first residents to their new home on Memorial Day 2012.
