Your attic is a conditioned space and may be used for storage; be cautious of temperature fluctuations, as attics are typically a few degrees warmer in hotter months than the rest of your home and a few degrees cooler than the rest of your home during the winter.
If your HVAC system and/or hot water heater are located in the attic, inspect their condition and ensure they are in good working order.
Test the roof hatch to ensure it opens and closes easily. Lubricate the hinge as necessary.
