REBECCA

Top three songs on your running playlist:
I Want You Back – The Jackson 5
Get Me Bodied – Beyonce
Everybody Talks – Neon Trees
Favorite places to run:
My favorite place to run is anywhere outside! I can’t seem to get past a couple miles on a treadmill, but outside there is so much to look at, easier to set a goal, and when you’re 2 miles away from your house, you have to get back somehow! I usually run along St. Charles, Prytania, or Camp St. I’ll do Magazine St in the early hours of the morning – when it isn’t swamped with people enjoying happy hour.
Favorite meal or restaurant:
My favorite restaurant in the city is Peche, but only on special occasions otherwise I wouldn’t be able to pay rent. I find myself and neighborhood spots like Jaun’s or Lily’s often. I love pho and have been playing with many different at home recipes!
Things you like to do when you’re not running:
I like to do yoga, spend time with friends, and enjoy the amazing and unique culture of this city that we’re lucky enough to call home!

Totally feel you on the treadmill, Rebecca. Not even Neon Trees can make that fun. Thanks for being on our team – everybody go here to support Rebecca’s race!

KATHERINE

Top three songs on your running playlist:
FourFiveSeconds by Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney
Cry by Bingo Players
Let Me Find Out by 5th Ward Weebie
Favorite places to run:
Lower Garden District; live oaks, old houses and winding streets.
Favorite meal or restaurant:
Pasta from Mona Lisa, Breakfast from Ruby Slipper, Sandwiches from St James Cheese Company, Sushi from Kyoto and Ice Cream from Creole Creamery
Things you like to do when you’re not running:
Music, drinks, food. What New Orleans is all about.
Anything else you want us to know?
I’ve trained to 3 miles already!

Kat, we want to hear more about how you’re running three miles through old houses. Also, 5th Ward Weebie needs to play at our post-race party – agree? Let’s get Shelley on that. Katherine is awesome and you should definitely support her race here.

LYDIA

Top three songs on your running playlist:
My dog Cooper keeps me pretty entertained on our runs sans music, but I do sometimes jam out with my iPod shuffle. Top three songs in no particular order: Right Above It (Lil Wayne), Nine to Five (Dolly Parton), Hotel Yorba (White Stripes)
Favorite places to run:
On the grassy path around Bayou St. John.
Favorite meal or restaurant:
Burmese fermented tea leaf salad from Carmo.
Things you like to do when you’re not running:
I love making and wearing costumes, traveling (I have a love affair with Latin America), riding my bike, reading books or watching documentaries that make me cry, going to festivals, drinking iced coffee, losing my voice in the dome during Saints games and activating vitamin D.
Anything else you want us to know?
I don’t play any musical instruments, but if I did, it would most certainly be the squeezebox.

Nice to meet you, Lydia (and Cooper!). Support Lydia’s race here. Happy squeezeboxing!

ANNA

Top three songs on your running playlist:
1) the Exciters “Say It With Love” (saw it on a commercial and am obsessed)
2) Justin Timberlake “Señorita”
3) The Doobie Brothers “Takin’ It to the Streets” ( I do a killer Michael McDonald impression)
Favorite places to run:
City Park and Bayou St. John. But by run, you mean walk with a purpose, right?
Favorite meal or restaurant:
I’ve just really been loving 1000 Figs lately for a delicious fresh bite in the neighborhood, but my fave restaurant is an oldie but a goodie – Herbsaint. Delicious food and fab wine!
Things you like to do when you’re not running:
Random acts of dance, take way too many pictures of my dog (you can see them all on Instagram with the hashtag #garythedog). I’m also starting my own PR business so I am busily promoting clients like Swamp Pop, a Louisiana born soda company with delish flavors like Jean Lafitte Ginger Ale.
Anything else you want us to know?
I am not a runner by any stretch of the imagination, but I have a mean power walk and love supporting Make it Right – from the pink bag days to now, I really believe in what they’re doing to create sustainable communities around the country, especially here in New Orleans!

Awesome hat, Anna! And we love 1000 Figs too. Support Anna’s race here.
