Building Community in Kansas City

Last weekend we opened the doors to our latest project – Bancroft School Apartments. Built in 1904 and abandoned and boarded up for more than 13 years, Bancroft School reopened to provide residents with 50 affordable rental units and community amenities, including an auditorium, gym, computer lab and community gardens.

For a community to thrive, we need places where people can come together to take walks, share meals, play pick-up games, watch a school play. We also believe helping individual families succeed strengthens all of us.

Most of all, a community needs people committed to their neighbors and their home. Manheim Park already has those people – let’s help them succeed by supporting community beyond housing in Kansas City.

Our work in Kansas City will include:

  • A Health Clinic
  • Community Gardens to Grow Fresh Vegetables
  • Tech Lab with Computers, Free Wifi and a Digital Book Library
  • Auditorium and Theater
  • Gym Facilities
  • Police Foot Patrol Office
  • And more...
