Housing Counselor

Carie Fischer is a Housing Counselor in the Homeowner Services Department at Make It Right. As a member of the Homeowner Services team, Carie coordinates department projects, manages reporting, administers prospective homeowner interviews and conducts policy and legal research. In addition to Carie’s work with Make It Right, she is a Louisiana licensed attorney, a member of the New Orleans Film Society and plays in the Crescent City Soccer League.
In January of 2012, Carie helped establish the non-profit LearnToLive, a humanitarian organization that provides healthcare and education to global communities through the promotion of sustainable practices. Carie currently serves as Chair of the LearnToLive Board of Directors.
Carie, a sixth generation New Orleanian, received a B.A., Magna Cum Laude and a J.D. in Civil Law with a concentration in Environmental Law from Loyola University New Orleans, and is currently pursuing her Masters of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of New Orleans.
